2019 DSE English Paper 2 Part A 題目

The Yearbook Committee is putting together a book for all graduating students. The yearbook is a collection of photos and comments about school life, written and submitted by students. When read several years later, the yearbook will remind students of their time at secondary school.

You are a student in Class 6C at Kowloon Secondary School. The committee has asked you to complete the following yearbook entry.

Write about one subject that you enjoyed studying or found challenging

If I were to be completely honest, I did not particularly enjoy studying – especially Maths. (Mr. Smith, if you’re reading this… I’m sorry!) But despite my antagonistic attitude towards schoolwork, I adored Biology. It has always fascinated me how amazing our body is, how the complex systems within us are running intricate processes day and night, yet we barely notice it!

It is captivating and mind-blowing how the nervous system, the hormonal system, the immune system, and the skeletal muscles work hand in glove to help us perform seemingly easy daily actions. It is truly amazing and inspiring how countless body cells collaborate to support me, an ordinary and average individual. After studying biology, I have this weird sense of support that gives me motivation to stay strong during difficult times. I am sure I would like to further explore this fantastic and mysterious field of study in my future days.

Write about what you will miss most about being a student in Class 6C

2019 DSE English Paper 2 題目

Studious? Serious? Industrious? I’m sure if you’d ask any teacher that has taught 6C to describe students in 6C, they will not provide you with such answers. In fact, our class is known for our playfulness, our optimistic mindset and our sense of humour. With DSE approaching us, it is normal to experience certain levels of stress under the tense atmosphere. However, I can always trust my fellow classmates to cheer me up and brighten my days! I still remember distinctly how Peter — our class clown, edited the picnic footage when we were playing ‘tagging’ and added the caption ‘This is how Mr Smith chases Mary after her homework’ on the part where he was running after her! Oh, those were the days! It’s hard not to burst into laughter when I think of the entertaining acts of my beloved classmates. These are definitely the moments I cherished.
